Men's Wellness

Why is screening so important?

The importance of health screening cannot be overstated, particularly in the realm of men’s health. Screening serves as a cornerstone of preventative care, facilitating the early detection of health issues and lifestyle-related risks. Unlike diagnostic tests, which are administered in response to symptoms, health screening targets asymptomatic individuals, unveiling underlying health disorders or risk factors. By embracing screening, individuals can bolster primary prevention efforts, safeguarding their health and anticipate future ailments. Despite its many benefits, uptake of health screening among men remains low, emphasising the need for greater awareness and education on its role in preventive healthcare.

Rapid Point of Care

Since the Covid pandemic, we have all used in vitro diagnostics, remember Lateral Flow Tests? Our general wellness tests require a sample, which could be a finger-prick or urine sample, which is added to a cassette, giving results within 5 – 10 minutes. The tests are extremely sensitive (over 92%) and are performed in our clinic setting. If results are outside the normal range, clients can seek further advice and present this information to their GP. Examples of our IVDs include tests for iron, vitamin B12, and PSA

Laboratory Biomarkers

Do you want more energy, better sleep, or even healthier skin? Whatever your personal health goals, you can use our biomarker health checks to make sure your body is getting enough of what it needs, helping you to reach your personal best. We test over 70 essential biomarkers which have an effect on your health, wellbeing, and performance. Examples include: Baseline Health Checks, Testosterone, Male Fitness, and Vitamin Deficiencies. Samples require a small blood sample and results take 2 to 3 days. All laboratory biomarkers are reviewed by a GP or a nurse, who provide guidance for clients with results outside the normal range.

DNA and Epigenetics

Track how your lifestyle affects your genes! Our complete genetic wellness package, discover and lower your biological age, and reverse the effects of cellular ageing. Your chronological age is the exact number of years that you have been alive. Whereas your biological age is the true reflection of how your cells are ageing. Your biological age and internal health can be affected by your diet, exercise, lifestyle and environment. DNA analysis combined with epigenetics, allows us to see what effect our lifestyle has on the ageing of DNA.

The test requires a sample of saliva which is then sent to the labs for DNA and epigenetic analysis, results take about 2 weeks, paving the way for tailored interventions to promote longevity and vitality.
